About Me – A Brief Bio

Monochrome picture of the therapy jet founderHi, thanks for stopping by. My name’s Jane and I’m a hard-working, fun-loving single parent of one. My interest in holistic health and wellbeing has been growing for as long as I can remember and I founded Therapy Jet in December 2018. Allow me to share with you the reasons why and a little about myself…

My Story…

Prior to becoming a parent I was a highly driven career girl, climbing the ladder and achieving many successes in the world of business management. I gradually realised however that being on a great salary and acquiring lots of nice stuff didn’t actually equal happiness. Quite the opposite. Realising how unhappy I really was, and with a gentle nudge here and there from fate, I started to make changes in order to rediscover some kind of balance in my life.

I had been interested in different approaches to health, wellbeing and self-improvement for many years and started to follow that route more closely. I decided I wanted to be the best version of me that I could – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Since then, my lifestyle has changed significantly, but I still have a long way to go – it’s an ongoing process.

My personal reiki journey started about 8 years ago when I took my First Degree course. It’s been part of my life ever since and I’m currently working towards my Third Degree or Master Level. I started studying towards my Practitioner Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming in November last year. This involves changing thoughts and behaviours by communicating more effectively with the mind. I also recently started a Life Coach Training course – to help people identify their goals, formulate a plan and then take action to achieve results.

So, as well as being keen to improve myself, I also want to help others. Why?

Because It’s Tough Out There!

Of all the people I’ve crossed paths with over the years, whether on my travels, at work, out and about or in my own circle, I have yet to meet one person who would not benefit from welcoming some form of holistic healing into their lives. The truth is it’s tough out there for all of us. Life’s moving forward at such an astounding rate as technology blasts us into the future.

There’s so much stress and dis-harmony in our lives and very few of us are immune to it. A little stress is actually good for you, but according to WebMD 75-90% of visit’s to the doctor are stress related. Chronic stress can be a major contributor to skin conditions, insomnia, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, substance misuse and heart disease. But this is just the tip of the iceberg – the list goes on and on.

There are many ways we can deal with these issues naturally. Different approaches to holistic health and wellbeing can help to heal existing conditions as well as to maintain good health. (Check out An Introduction to Natural Healing.) They can also improve the quality of life for those with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. To identify which methods might work best for you, there may be some questions that need answering…WHAT are the options? WHICH ones am I interested in? HOW can I go forward?

How Can Therapy Jet Help?

The Therapy Jet mission is to help you answer those questions…

We are creatures of habit and coming out of our comfort zone can be daunting at times, but you don’t need to make massive changes to start seeing improvements in your life. The smallest of steps can lead you in the right direction. They may just make your life a tiny bit better or they may lead you towards a totally different path that you never dreamed possible. Either way, they are steps in the right direction and I want to make it easier for you to take those first steps.

We all deserve to be happy. Life doesn’t have to be a struggle – it’s a gift that should be enjoyed and cherished every day.
