Therapy Jet – For Natural Health and Wellbeing

Welcome!

Paper on a clipboard reading love your lifeHello readers and welcome to Therapy Jet, the website dedicated to giving you clear and simple information on different types of holistic healing for natural health and wellbeing – that is therapies and remedies that heal the whole person – body, mind, emotions and spirit. These aspects of ourselves are interconnected and influence each other in many ways.

When these areas are balanced, we can achieve so much more – like enjoying improved physical health, by removing limiting beliefs, by being able to love and be loved, and to have more meaning in our lives as we become aware of our purpose here on this earth.

However, if one or more areas are out of balance, this can affect the others, and of course our overall health. Deep rooted emotional issues can bring on physical illness. Poor physical health can trigger episodes of anxiety and depression, which in turn can cause us to act outside of our core values and beliefs. This can cause anger, self-loathing and much unhappiness; thus the vicious circle begins.

This is just one example. If you feel like you’re off-kilter and in need of some equilibrium, natural healing remedies and holistic therapies can help to lead you on the path towards health and wellbeing again – so you can get back to living the life you love…or maybe you can begin to experience real health and happiness for the first time. Either way, welcome to Therapy Jet!

Start Today

As well as all the different therapies which are available, there are many simple steps you can take to make improvements in your life. Why not start today?

Be Good To Your Body

Our physical bodies are magnificent! They talk to us every day, but are we listening? We might get spotty if we eat too much chocolate, or have puffy eyes after a late night session, or feel extra tired if we’re not drinking enough water. Most of us are aware of the importance of limiting or refraining from our intake of “nasties” (e.g. drugs, alcohol, nicotine, sugar, caffeine.) We also know that we should take regular exercise, eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, get enough sleep and so on.

Be honest with yourself – could you be a little kinder to your body? If so, why not start today? Do one thing to begin with – don’t try to tackle everything at once. Maybe go for a 5 minute walk, or take 1 sugar instead of 2 in your coffee, or drink an extra glass of water in the morning, and another in the afternoon.

Be Kind To Your Mind

Text on a post it note reading believe in yourselfOur wonderful minds – the control centre, the power house of our thoughts! Thoughts can limit us or they can set us free. Most of the time, most people will go along with what the mind is thinking. But we can change how we think to remove limiting beliefs, to change behaviours, to achieve our full potential. But this takes some practice.

In the meantime – if you can – give yourself a break. Stop stressing about the past, don’t worry about the future. Maybe go somewhere quiet for 5 minutes or 5 hours, switch off your phone, do something for you, smile even if you don’t feel like it. Think about what you like best about yourself, be kind to a stranger, think happy thoughts. If you have a positive outlook you will be a happier person.

Face Your Feelings

Negative emotions – anger, fear, sadness, disappointment, guilt, despair. Sometimes it’s easier to bury these emotions than to face them, and often we are encouraged to do so. Sometimes it’s necessary to get through the day without losing your job, or in social situations, or in front of the kids. But don’t bury them too deep – to move forward we need to overcome these emotions, and we can’t overcome them until we’ve faced them, however painful that might be.

When you bottle up your emotions, your body produces less oxytocin. Oxytocin is a hormone which reduces stress and can lower your blood pressure. Unchecked emotions can affect your sleep patterns, mental capability and overall health. If someone has upset you, try not to take it personally, try to get it in perspective, try to understand why that person behaved the way they did. If you can find it within yourself, pray that God will forgive them and bless them. Even if you don’t mean it – say or think it. It might not work for you, but it makes me feel a tiny bit better. (But sometimes it’s really difficult!)

Feed Your Soul

Maybe you’re religious, maybe not. Maybe you believe in the soul, maybe you don’t. Maybe you’re of the opinion that the soul / spirit is a load of mumbo-jumbo – fair enough, that’s your choice. But in order to achieve or maintain good health for the whole person, you’ll need to find another name for it, because it’s an aspect of you that also requires nourishment and care.

How can you feed your soul? Here are a few examples…carry out a random act of kindness and expect nothing in return, appreciate nature – look around you and see the beauty, watch a puppy playing clumsily with unbridled joy, listen to a kid really belly laughing and be grateful for all you have and all that you are.

Where Are You Now?

A-board reading you are exactly where you need to beYou may find it hard to believe, but you are exactly where you are meant to be right now. Each and every moment in your life can be a fresh start if you want it to be. And do you know something else? If you make a fresh start but mess it up, you can try again. And again. And again. It’s your choice how you shape your future. Make small changes today, think about what other changes you want to make, and plan how you are going to achieve them.

Use the tools available to you to achieve your goals. Read the articles on this site and follow the links for further information about complementary remedies to balance your body, mind, emotions and spirit. Posts are added every week, so be sure to visit regularly and check out what’s new.

If there are different methods of natural healing that you would like to find out about, let me know. Or if you can suggest other organisations to add to the Directory Page which might benefit other visitors, email me on jane@therapyjet.net – thank you.

Finally, remember, by taking steps in the right direction you can start making positive changes to improve health, to improve your work-life balance, to reduce stress / anxiety, to achieve personal growth, to realise your true potential, to be a happier person and so much more. It really is up to you – the sky is the limit. Exciting times are in front of you. It’s your life, and this life is a gift – cherish it and make it the best it can be…come on…YOU’VE GOT THIS!
